Quick Overview of how the game plays

Alpha 1.11 with Developer Commentary

  • Simple 2 button controls and completely customizable control options. Void Wisp can be played one-handed. It can be played with a gamepad or keyboard. Any standard input device can be used.
  • 4 Game Mode. Each mode has a different flavor of play.
    • In Classic you'll have to decide when it's best to end the game to cash in on your points so you don't lose them all.
    • In Caravan you have limited amount of time to earn as many points as you can. Crashing will reduce that time.
    • Survival is the most complex mode. A timer is always ticking down and you can refill it by playing well or collecting Luster. The game will also speed up. The longer you survive the greater amount of points you'll earn when grinding along obstacles.
    • Traveler Mode is pre-made levels that each have 3 objectives. These offer a unique challenge that is not possible in the other modes.
  • A focus on accessibility meaning anyone can play! Robust difficulty settings and aesthetic customization for both the game world and character means you can make the game look and feel the way that best suits you.
  • Dreamy procedurally generated music. Notes play when you make contact with an obstacle. Which note depends on an algorithm and how it sounds depends on the instrument. You can set both in the audio options.
